German wind turbine maker Fuhrlander AG will start building its first wind turbine manufacturing unit in Brazil in March 2012, local media reported yesterday, quoting the company's project director, Newton Lima. Fuhrlander's intention is to complete the facility, to be located near the Pecem port of northeastern Ceara state, in February 2013. The plant is projected to have a production capacity of 20 wind turbines per month when it becomes fully operational in 2014.
